A cosmetic dentist also referred to as an aesthetic dentist is a professional who works to improve your teeth appearance. When your teeth appear awesome, your smile broadens, and your confidence rises, hence revealing your overall well-being.

So, if you think that working on your teeth will improve your smile, consider visiting a cosmetic dentist for help. Such dentists provide wide-ranging treatments and procedures.

What does a Cosmetic Dentist do?

Cosmetic dentistry provides many advanced techniques that are aimed at giving your smile a lift. Let's look at a few of them.

Replace any missing teeth: If your mouth is lacking one, two or even all teeth, a cosmetic dentist can refill your mouth with natural-looking teeth. From dental implants, dental crowns to dental bridges and dentures, your nice smile can be restored.

Whiten teeth: A cosmetic dentist also does professional tooth whitening. Currently, it's a pretty popular procedure that comes in a wide variety of systems for a glowing and stain-free smile.

Reshape teeth: If your problem is that you consider your teeth too pointy, awkwardly shaped or worn down, visit a cosmetic dentist and they will reshape your teeth to look more appealing to you.

Restore damaged teeth: A cosmetic dentist uses procedures like bonding or porcelain veneers to mask your damaged teeth, enhancing the look and your smile.

Straightening misaligned teeth: Many people have crooked teeth, and most would like to avoid the awkwardness and pain that come from using traditional metal braces. Your cosmetic dentists will straighten your teeth using alternative teeth-straightening options.

Lengthening small teeth: The things a cosmetic dentist does also involve increasing the length and size of small teeth if you consider them a defect in your image. With a cosmetic dentist, you can both decide the shape, size and colour of the veneers that naturally suit your mouth and beautiful smile.

These are just some of what a cosmetic dentist does. If you're sub-conscious about the appearance of your teeth, look no further than Dr. Somayeh Nourian, a top-notch cosmetic dentist in Oakville with the expertise and artistry needed to craft a healthy smile you're looking for.

Dental Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are handcrafted for your smile and bonded to the front of your natural tooth.

In order for the shells to sit properly on the tooth, a thin layer of enamel must be removed. Due to this shaping, veneers are irreversible.

Veneers are an easy way to achieve a cohesive, flawless smile with little invasive work.

However, veneers are highly successful, and it’s unlikely you will want to remove them in the future.

The quickest way to see changes in your smile’s appearance is through whitening.

We offer one-visit whitening in our office, as well as one-size and custom-tray whitening you can do in your own home.

These options allow us to accommodate every patient. One-visit whitening is simple and completed by our team, so there is no hassle on your end.

If you’d prefer to do it yourself, custom trays and one size trays allow you to add the whitening gel and whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home and on your own schedule.

Invisalign Treatment

If you’re looking to get a straighter smile but aren’t ready to commit to years of traditional metal braces, Invisalign may be the right option for you.

This orthodontic system uses clear aligners to gradually move your teeth into their desired positions.

The aligners are removable, which allows you to eat and drink all of the same foods, brush and floss your teeth like normal, and make fewer changes to your lifestyle.

Much like traditional veneers, Lumineers can correct tooth shape, discoloration, and slight spacing issues.

What sets them apart is the minimal amount of prep work done to bond them to your natural tooth.

This means less damage to your teeth and fewer visits for placement.
