What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® is a cutting-edge teeth-straightening system that involves a series of custom, removable aligners that are crafted from clear, smooth, BPA-free plastic.

As you make your way through the series, your teeth shift little by little into their desired places.

The aligners are created based on your orthodontist’s specifications and while the treatment is fantastic, it’s only as good as the doctor who plans it.

How Much Invisalign Cost?

Invisalign treatment costs around $2500 and up depending on the difficulty and teeth condition. To get an exact estimate you need to have a full dental exam with X-rays so the dentist can assess your case and provide you with the complete cost of your treatment.

Some dental insurance plans will cover part or all costs for Invisalign treatment, we can help you find out.

We also offer flexible dental plans to help you cover the cost of the treatment with easy monthly payments, ask us for more information.

How Does Invisalign Works?

We use our iTero® scanner to take digital scans of your teeth and gums and create a 3D model of your dental anatomy. Then we map out each individual tooth movement directly on this model and we can even show you what your results will look like before you start treatment.

Invisalign then creates custom aligners according to the dentist prescription, ensuring a perfect fit and an amazing outcome. The aligners apply gentle pressure to move teeth into alignment. Since the aligners are created in a series that progresses your treatment every time you put in a new set, they don’t require adjustments.

We create your treatment plan using digital technology and the aligners are custom made from a 3D model of your mouth. The aligners are removable, so you don’t have to make any changes to your lifestyle and you can eat what you want and brush and floss with ease.

With no brackets and wires involved, Invisalign is also extremely comfortable. However, the biggest benefit our patients love is the fact that the aligners are virtually invisible. Most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them. You’ll get the results you want without any sacrifice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there food restrictions with Invisalign?

Nope! The aligners are removable and you’ll take them out to eat, so you can enjoy all of your favourite foods and drinks throughout treatment.

Can I chew gum with Invisalign?

There are no food restrictions with Invisalign, gum included! However, you’ll want to take your aligners out before chewing gum to avoid a mess.

How long does Invisalign treatment last?

The length of Invisalign treatment depends on how severe your orthodontic issues are and how closely you follow the instructions for wearing your aligners.

How often should I wear my Invisalign aligners?

For the best results, we recommend wearing your aligners for about 22 hours every day, only taking them out to eat and brush and floss your teeth.

How do I clean my aligners?

There are Invisalign cleaning systems available for purchase. Or, you can simply brush your aligners with a toothbrush (no toothpaste) and rinse them in lukewarm water.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Invisalign treatment doesn’t hurt. However, when you first start treatment or put in a new set of aligners, the teeth and gums can be a little tender. This is normal and means Invisalign is working.

Can I smoke while wearing Invisalign?

No. Smoking will stain your aligners and they won’t be clear anymore, which defeats the purpose. It’s a great chance to quit smoking!
