Teeth cleaning or scaling, is performed by a certified dental hygienist with the experience and technique to clean your teeth professionally. The procedure usually takes 45 minutes for an adult and 30 minutes for a child, depending on the current status of their dental hygiene and cooperation.

Scaling is performed to remove the plaque and tartar from the surface of your teeth, around the gum line, and between teeth.

The Dentist does a Recall Exam to monitor your oral health, identify any changes, and ensure ongoing preventive care.

Getting fluoride treatment at your dental cleaning is always optional but highly recommended so make sure to get it.

Is Teeth Cleaning Harmful to Your Teeth?
