Veneers are thin (yet durable) sheets of porcelain that go on the front side of your teeth. Before they are bonded in place, we remove a layer of enamel to help the veneers fit snugly in place. Once the enamel is removed, we’ll take digital impressions of the prepared teeth and upload them to our smile preview software. Using this advanced software, we can work together to map out your new smile from the color to the shape to the length of your new teeth. Once we have a model of your new smile, we send all of the information to our off-site lab where they fabricate the custom veneers. When we get them in, we’ll call you into our office to bond them to your teeth and make sure they look and feel great!
Yes! One of the many benefits of veneers is that they provide a permanent solution for any cosmetic imperfections you want to alter. The veneers are held in place using an extra-strength bonding adhesive, which means you can still enjoy the freedoms of biting into apples and eating with ease. While natural wear and tear may occur, your veneers should stay in great shape for 15 to 20 years, with some minor fixes here and there.
The process usually takes about two dental appointments. At the first one, we’ll prepare your teeth, take impressions, and design your new smile. Then, it’s a matter of waiting for a lab to create the veneers. Once they are done, we can schedule the second appointment where we bond the veneers in place.
The cost of veneers depends on a variety of factors. From the patient’s oral health to the number of veneers they’re getting, many things come into play when determining the exact cost estimate. At your consultation, we will examine your smile, discuss your smile goals, and provide you with an accurate out-of-pocket estimate based on your unique needs. We also offer a variety of financial options to make getting the smile of your dreams even more of a possibility!
